TOUR DURATION : 1 FULL DAY 

 

This is a tour that gives you a glimpse of the smiling coast of Africa. It’s a full day tour that takes you to eight different locations.  All the places you will visit will give you an experience as to how the locals live.

 

The first stop takes you to the ‘Karchically‘ crocodile pool, Bakau (sacred place) to visit different museums that will educate you on the culture and traditions of the locals. You will be able to stroke a crocodile (with the advice of a pool guide).

 

We will proceed to the biggest local market (Serekunda) in The Gambia to see how the locals do their daily shopping and you can see the typical food items that are locally consumed. 

 

A visit to a local school in Tallinding to learn of the educational system of The Gambia.

 

An animal market in Abuko.

 

A wood carving factory in Brikama to discover how skillful the carvers are. There are lots of ranges of carvings for sale. 

 

Then we shall drive to the paradise beach in Sanyang village for lunch, relax and swim for some time before proceeding to visit a local family.

 

Finally to the biggest fishing village in Tanji to see the 'catch of the day' and learn of the different methods of preserving fish in the Gambian way.
