Community Excursion
TOUR DURATION : 1 DAY
This is a tour that takes you into the heart of the typical local Gambian community, it starts around 9am and ends between 3-4pm.
The first stop takes you to the” Sukuta” women’s local vegetable garden wherein the local women will educate you on how horticulture is done in the Gambia. This is where you can see how local Gambian vegetables are cultivated by the hardworking local Gambian community women.
After that experience, you might be entertained by the local women. From there we shall drive through the west coast region towards “Mandinary” which is a local Gambian community. We will have a drink stop under groups of big kapok and baobab trees and we will educate you on the significance of the trees within our locality and get to see a beehive. From there we will drive through villages to see termite mounts, cashew nut trees, cassava farms and perhaps a pinot farm. We shall see typical local Gambian houses and street paintings before proceeding to” Kuloro “and have a lunch stop before proceeding on a boat trip in Baobab island.
