TOUR DURATION : 2 DAYS 

 

This is a tour that takes you to the southern part of Senegal 🇸🇳. 

 

This tour gives you the opportunity to see a beautiful landscape, experience a different country and also have the privilege of discovering the Jola ( main ethnic group in south of Cassamance). The tour starts early in the morning, we head to the border and complete formalities before entering Senegal.

Our first stop takes us to Bignona ( one of the largest commercial towns in southern Senegal.

​

We then head to Zinguinchor for a lunch break before arriving in Oussouye to maybe, just maybe see king Jola ( animist king ) and visit a sanctuary. We will also be informed about animism, which looks more like a religion in Cassamance.

 

From Oussouye, we will head to Mlomp and see spectacular architectural craftsmanship made by a World-war 2 veteran. We also visit a museum to learn more about Jola cultural activities. 

 

Then we head to Capskrring to rest and spend the night.

 

In the morning at 9am, we visit the Capskrring market before leaving for a boat trip that will take us to different islands to meet the locals , where we will be informed about their way of life, before returning to The Gambia.
