Baobab Island (Sita Joheh)
TOUR DURATION : 1 DAY
This tour can be done within a day and it’s also possible to spend the night at Baobab Island, as they have very clean and comfortable accommodation facilities. This tour starts at 9am and ends between 3-4pm, it is ideal for nature lovers, most especially bird watchers. Baobab island is located in the west coast region (Kulorro) which is about 1 hour drive from your hotel. On arrival you will be served with Baobab juice and ‘Kinkiliba’ (herbal tea). A visit to a local oyster factory and a boat trip will be conducted that will last for about 2 hours and you will spot different species of birds and crocodiles. Lunch will be served and then we will have a forest walk at ‘Farasutu’ to spot more birds and perhaps more crocodiles on the swampy areas before driving back to the hotel.
